I could not be more excited for the weekend! January really is the longest month, isn’t it? After multiple weeks in a row with holiday time off, it’s so daunting to finish a five day week in the new year. I have actually yet to do that due to the family circumstances that occured last week, so I’m sure next week will be extra tough.
With the time off I took the end of last week and beginning of this week, coupled with the emotions that went with it, I am so happy to see Friday.
Yesterday I got my butt back to Pure Barre after some time off for some stress relief. If you haven’t heard of Pure Barre, or barre workouts for that matter, you may live under a rock! They really have taken off this past year and I for one am so happy they did. A yoga, pilates, ballet fusion as I like to call it, Pure Barre really makes my inner ballerina happy! I danced for years and years, so it’s so comforting to be back at the barre.
You are correct Foursqaure, my biceps AND my triceps are saying “ow” today! Don’t let the ballet aspect fool you, Pure Barre is no joke! I walked into my first class so sure I’d breeze right through due to years of dancing, along with my current yoga practice, but I had my rear end handed to me (in the nicest sense of course). The music is always so fun and I catch myself signing along when I’m not swearing under my breathe
This weekend will include a few more Pure Barre classes and hopefully some yoga. Other than that, I have nothing planning than to enjoy my family and some R&R.
Have you tried a barre workout yet? What do you have planned for this weekend?
Have a great weekend!
