Oui, Je parle Francais. Sorta.
I haven’t used my French very much since college, soooo, ya know. It is what is is. This past week at work I took Nutella and Crepes in for our Mardi Gras party (Hence, the French chit chat). After I did this, I realized it was a huge mistake, because I ended up at home with a nearly full jar of Nutella. Or as I like to call it, crack.
Once I found myself taking 3 spoonfuls in one night our of the jar, I knew I needed help. Yes, I have failed miserable at my sugar challenge, but Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day in one week is really rough. Oh well.
My friend Natalie has this amazing recipe and I decided it would be best to make these cookies and share the crack love with everyone else. I made them for Johnny to pack in his lunch yesterday and brought all the leftovers into work.

(I only bake when wine & Maroon 5 are present!)
You guys, they were gone before 11am. Seriously. They are dangerous, but delicious. Natalie is a genius! My thighs already hate me. Just makes these cookies, mmk?
How was your day of lovin? Johnny made me a delicious dinner of lobster tail, shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus. He also surprised me with tulips and by making a few dozen chocolate covered strawberries! What a guy
We enjoyed some wine on the couch after.
Chillin’ with my two little valentines is the perfect Valentine’s Day to me <3
UPDATES:
- Besides my sugar flop, my fried foods challenge is going great! (with the exception of a few fries that made their way into a salad the other night while we were out)
- I’ve got 6 class in towards my 20 in 30. My hips hurt. My things hurt. My abs hurt. That is all.
- My friends are still plugging away with their fundraising. Please help/share/link if you can.
A really random post today, but that’s all I got. Hope you are a great weekend! I will be enjoying mine detoxing from this sugar/chocolate/cookie hangover.

Keep up the great work on your fried foods and Barre challenge! Kicking sugar is a hard one! But hey, everything in moderation!
Happy Friday! I need to start getting into that wine and music habit when baking! Johnny’s dinner is beautiful!
